[00:00:00] Hey guys, welcome back to another podcast today. We're gonna be talking about movie reviews. Yay! So, yeah. Yeah. Okay, who wants to go first? Wait, we didn't introduce ourselves. Okay, guys, okay, I'm Melanie. So, I'm Carter. I was one of the first week's hosts. I'm Anthony. You guys know me, bro. I'm the king of this show.
[00:00:27] You were host last week. Yeah, I was host last week. And you guys loved it. Okay, so guys, today we're talking about movie reviews and we're doing them. Yes! Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you. Slay! Too much. Okay, so who wants to go first? The host. Okay. So, first we're gonna be talking about our favorite movies.
[00:00:55] So, my favorite movie is Pet Sematary. It's a horror movie. Which one? Bloodlines? Talk. Okay. You don't need much attitude. I would suggest for people who don't like scary stuff. So, apparently this little girl's cat dies. Talking to the mic. And it comes back to life. How about you, go, Anthony? Okay. My favorite movie is Avengers Endgame. Like, let's be for real. Slay!
[00:01:25] Yeah. Slay! Yeah, that's a good movie. That took forever. Okay. I would never collaborate. I do. Okay, so. Okay. Go ahead. Anthony. So, Avengers Endgame, well. Yeah, go ahead. It doesn't matter. Tell why it's your favorite. Oh, it's my favorite because it's Marvel.
[00:01:52] And anything Marvel releases, we're not gonna talk about the other shows. So. And, like, tell us, like, what the movie's about and, like, why it was your favorite. So, because it's Marvel. The movie was my favorite because it's the best MCU movie that they did. And, like, personally, I don't know. It's just my favorite. All right. And I want to say something quick. If you have more than one favorite movie, like, if you have another one that you really like,
[00:02:21] go ahead and say it now. Okay, okay, okay, okay. It's Anthony's turn. Yeah, it's Anthony's turn. Okay. Then we'll go back to you. Okay. My other favorite, like, movie, it's like a Christmas movie. It's like. I forgot what it was. What was it about? I don't know. What was it called? What was it about? Oh, it was about this.
[00:02:50] It was called Christmas All Over Again. And it was about this boy. It's like, he was ungrateful that he didn't get gifts on Christmas. Oh. So, he went to this guy to go get the thing that he wanted. But then he put a loop on him. Uh-oh. So, the day keeps repeating and repeating. Oh, that's a good movie. That sounded like one of the Mickey, the Disney things. The Mickey's What's Upon a Christmas. I love Disney. I'm tired of it. What's your favorite movie?
[00:03:20] My family's a Disney movie. Do you have another favorite movie, Melanie? Yes. What is it? I don't. Do something not rated R, please. Just, this is a kid family. Hold up. The what? No. No. No. Okay. Um. Okay, I'll talk about something. Something kid friendly. All my favorite movies are. Why? Horror movies. Okay, well, what about a horror movie that was kid friendly and was like PG-13? Hold up. PG-13 horror movie.
[00:03:49] I'm trying to think of a PG. I know a couple. Inside Out 2. I don't care. Oh, Inside Out 2 was good. It was pretty good. So, why is it your favorite? Because Anxiety was pretty cool. Um. What? Get back on topic, please. Okay. Anyway, um. So, I liked it because it was pretty cool and like. Mm-hmm. Yeah.
[00:04:17] My brother loved it and he won't stop watching it now and I'm. I don't. I'm about. Yeah. And I'm about to throw him. Okay. So, now I've watched only a couple horror movies being PG-13. So, if I had to choose. I'm not going to say Five Nights at Freddy's because that movie was just straight up poopy duke. Five Nights at Freddy. Because it wasn't even that. It wasn't even scary. So, if I had to choose. It was kind of cringe. Yeah. It was cringe. I mean, the ending with um.
[00:04:47] Whatever his name was. Spring. Spring Bonnie. That was pretty good. It was pretty cool. Yeah. And with the spring locks. But. Um. If I had to choose. I would probably say. A Quiet Place Part 2. Oh yeah. I never watched that before. So, it was really good. So, I did watch the first one and. I honestly did not like it. As much as the second one.
[00:05:13] The second one showed a lot more story about what happened before all that stuff happened. Like, we got to see the day that the aliens invaded. And then, another thing I would say. Godzilla X calling the new empire. And Deadpool and Wolverine. Nice. I actually did like Deadpool. Deadpool and Wolverine was really funny. It was. It was. It was. There was some scenes that were interesting. Yeah. Like, very interesting. What do you mean? Okay. What do you mean by that? Not really.
[00:05:42] Deadpool and Wolverine was like. It was like. It was funny. It was. It was funny. But, I like all Deadpool movies. And then. Godzilla X Kong. So, a lot of you. Whoever. Like. If they know about this. Godzilla. This is the sequel for Godzilla vs. Kong. Okay. It was for the Monsterverse. So, Godzilla X Kong. Basically. It's like another one of those team up movies. Where there's this new ape. His name's Skarking. He's controlling this big ice dragon thing called Shemo. So, him.
[00:06:10] So, Godzilla and Kong have to team up to stop that guy. And, Skarking's controlling Shemo. So, they break the thing that he's using to control her. And then. He'd bye bye. He'd go bye bye. So, yeah. So, that movie was really good, honestly. I watched it in theaters. And. The final battle at the end. They had a. They all fought in Rio and Brazil. That was awesome. Oh, my God. I love it. I said Rio. Yeah. Oh, I love.
[00:06:40] Rio. You don't know how much I love Rio. Like, actually. Rio de Janeiro. Oh, my God. The country in Brazil. I thought we were talking about the bird movie. Oh, that movie was so good, too. Oh, that movie was so. Rio was beautiful. It was so lit, bro. Do you guys watch Migration? No. Yeah. We're going to Jamaican one. I've only watched, like, a quarter of it. Did you see the parrot yet? No. No, I didn't. Okay. So. So. I think. So, what's. Okay.
[00:07:10] I already talked about favorites. What is the worst movie in your opinion? Melanie, go ahead. My. The worst movie in my opinion. What would you say? I'm trying to think. Should I do a theory? A theory? Should I do a Marvel theory? Um. Welcome to game. No, I'm just kidding. Okay. Go ahead, Melanie. I was probably like the one with the high-pitched characters. What high-pitched characters? What the. What's that called?
[00:07:39] Those kind of characters. We don't know what movie you're talking about. What movie are you talking about? I'm trying to think of the name. Hold on. What was it? Like a Disney movie? Yeah. It was a Disney movie. It's kind of like Wish. Oh, Wish. Oh, that was the worst. I know. Wish was not the best. It was. It was. My little cousin loved the goat. Because. Oh, the goat? I love this. I love the Valentino. I mean. She loved the goat. She loved the goat. So. She just watched the movie non-stop when it came out on Disney Plus. But.
[00:08:08] Wish wasn't my favorite either. The ending. I hate it. The ending was cool. But. Okay. It was okay. It was like. The goat was cute though. The goat. Okay. Let's move on. So. Anthony. Your turn. What was the worst movie in your opinion? Come back to me. Okay. Can we do music now? Wait. We're doing movies. But. My turn. So. In my opinion. One of the worst movies I've watched was Jurassic Park Lost World. One. Because.
[00:08:38] I love dogs. And they killed a dog in the movie. Two. It was a sequel to Jurassic Park from 1993. And it wasn't even. It was not really the best. Like. The whole fact of. The dinosaur. The T-Rex getting loose in the city. And attacking people and stuff. Like. That's basically taking Godzilla. And turning him into a dinosaur. And just making him go crazy. And they made him tiny. So. That movie wasn't the best in my opinion. Yeah. Okay. Anthony.
[00:09:12] I don't know. What about a Marvel movie? Did you not like any Marvel movies? Is there any you didn't like? He was talking about that one movie. My. In my opinion. I don't like the Ant-Man movie. It's. Pretty boring. The one that shrinks. The one. Yeah. Ant-Man. He's kind of. The movie's boring. It's not like really like. Oh God. Action packed. Like all the other ones. Like. Like. Like the.
[00:09:42] Yeah. I get it. Like. Say. Endgame. It's not. It doesn't have like all that. Like. It's. Even shows that are in Marvel are better than that. All right. Ready. Okay. Yeah. So what about the most action packed movie you've watched? Melanie. Oh God. I have to think of that. Do you want us to come back to you? So you can think. Anthony. So Anthony go. Action packed. We know. Most action packed movie that I watched was. Was it Avengers? One of them? No. It was like a.
[00:10:12] What movie was that? Quick question. Yeah. Do shows count? Uh. Like if you watched it nonstop and just like kept watching all the episodes? It depends if. Well. I want to try. We should try to keep it kid friendly. Like murder drones? Uh. It's not that bad. I know it's not that bad but it has a little bit of violence. Like that kid. What was the question again? The most action packed movie you've watched. Oh. Cause like murder drones is like.
[00:10:41] It's a little violent where like kids probably shouldn't watch it. So. Like kid friendly. It's not that violent. Okay. But like something like a Marvel movie. Like that PG-13 type of stuff. No. No. No. It's not that violent. I've seen. I have seen a little bit of it but. It's. It's honestly not that violent after the first episode. It's like episode eight I think. That's. Episode eight it's not. It's like. I like the song but. Yeah. Anyways yeah. Okay. So. It's a show. Alright. Like it's in Marvel.
[00:11:11] What is it? There was WandaVision. Oh was it. And Agatha all along. And that. That show was awesome. That show. I'm gonna be so for real. There was some scenes that I didn't like. Like season. Episode six but. Agatha all along was like. It was a good show. I watched the first whole season. I'm hoping they come out with more but. Yeah they're gonna come out with. No Vision Quest in 2026. Like. I don't know. Have you watched WandaVision? Um not yet. No.
[00:11:38] If you watch WandaVision you'll see like this white version of WandaVision. Yeah. And it like flies away. So in like Agatha all along it's action packed because it's like. You're going like after WandaVision you're going to see where Agatha was after she puts the spell on her. And how she breaks out. Yeah. And how she has no more power. So she goes on the road. But the thing is. Yeah. The road was never real. Oh. Yeah. It was created by Billy Maximoff. Yeah. So.
[00:12:09] Agatha all along was a pretty good show. Down the road. Should I go now? Um. I still have to go. So yeah. So. Worst movie in my opinion. Or um. Most action packed actually. So. Most action packed. I'm gonna have to say um. Sonic 2. Oh yeah. It's gonna be Sonic. I'm gonna change. To Sonic 3. To Sonic 3. Because even though it's not out yet. It looks. That movie looks sick. I did. I'm so excited to get to see Shadow. It's good that we're gonna get to see um.
[00:12:39] Eggman. As Jim Carrey again. And then. His dad. Oh yeah. I'm excited for that. In this. Eggie flesh. Papa. But yeah. I'm actually. I'm really excited for Sonic 3's. And then. Yeah. What movie are you guys. Another question. What movie are you guys most excited for to come out? I didn't go yet. I didn't go yet. Oh god. No you went. No I didn't. I didn't say it. Oh yeah. Okay. I said come back to me.
[00:13:10] So. What was the most action packed? Brother Jones. Okay. I'm just gonna say that. What about the movie. Yeah. What Anthony said. Go ahead. So like. What movie are you most excited for. Sonic 3. To come out in 2024, 2025 or 2026. 2025. I'm actually. So. I can't say it. I'm saying it right now. So. I can't say it. In 2024. In December. I'm excited for Sonic 3. Like we were just talking about. I'm excited for Moana.
[00:13:39] Moana 2 is actually gonna be the first movie. It looks really interesting. Because. If you see. Can I get a Chi-Hu? If you see other. Disney. Like if you've seen the first Moana. You'll get a lot. Yeah. Moana 1 was pretty good. Yeah. I don't like how they're like. Shipping Maui and Moana. I don't like that either. It's kind of. It's kind of like weird. Yeah. Because he's a demigod. And she's. And she's just immortal. And she's 18. Like that's pretty weird. But. Yeah.
[00:14:08] Like he could be over thousands of years old. Yeah. He's like thousands of years old. I don't think they would actually do that. But yeah. It's disgusting. I'm excited for Moana and Sonic 3. So yeah. And Avengers Doomsday in 2027. Yeah. Anyway. Sonic 3 is. I can't say mine. Moana 2. Moana 2 is actually gonna be the first movie that my little. My 4 year old sister is gonna watch in theaters. Because she's never watched a movie in theaters. Um. Since she was born. And she loved the first Moana. So she's probably gonna love the second one.
[00:14:37] Whether or not it's gonna be Dookie. But. Cause like. I doubt it. Even Gabby. Even my cousin Gabby. She said that she doesn't. She's not really excited for Moana 2. Because she thinks it's not gonna be the best. Cause that's how sequels are. You know. I mean but. It looks pretty good. It looks interesting. Because. Now we get to see. Like. The pig coming. Like. Yeah. Me neither. Because. I don't want them to like.
[00:15:07] You know Disney. They will do like. The sad stuff. Like. They'll be. They'll be like. Where Moana like. Gets like. She's not gonna like. Do that anymore. And then the daughter comes in. Which. The little girl. What her sister. Yeah. Make a recap. I probably won't watch that of that. Yeah. And. I'm also excited for the Dog Man movie. In January. Oh yeah. I'm excited for that. Cause. On the Book Fair poster. On the Book Fair thing. They. Showed a new Dog Man book. Called Big Jim Returns. Like. Big Jim. Who's Big Jim?
[00:15:37] He's that big cat. That Petey was with in prison. Oh yeah. That guy. Ew. She's bad. So that. They made it. Dave. Dave Pilkey made that book. And then. He said. It said next to it. Dog Man. Coming January 31st. In 2025. I'm excited for that movie. I hope we can go watch that. I'm excited. The cat. The cat. Hold up. Petey. The cat. The Petey. The cat. He's a big back. No. That's. Big Jim's a big back. Oh yeah. Big Jim's a big back. Petey is skinny. Yeah. Petey is. He's.
[00:16:07] But the big back guy. He's slim. I'm going to call the. Big Jim. Big Jim. Big back. What's your favorite? Big back. Skinny. No. I'm just kidding. I'm just kidding. I'm just kidding. Or Halloween. Halloween. I mean Christmas. Christmas. Free. Oh okay. Favorite Christmas movie. I forgot what it's called. Why are you swimming? Um. I'm going to try to think about that. So. I mean. Mine is probably kind of basic. So. The Grinch. That's what I was thinking about.
[00:16:37] The Jim Carrey one. The Jim Carrey one. I mean I like both. I mean. I like the live action one. Anything Grinch. Like I like all the Grinch. The old one. Yeah. Jim Carrey one. And the one that came out in 2018. I mean. They're all good but. I like the Jim Carrey one. Yeah. The Jim Carrey one was really good. I really like that one. It was funny. I like the real life one. That's the Jim Carrey. That's Jim Carrey. I didn't know that. Jim Carrey was live action. Alright. Okay. The movie that I love. Personally. Um. Is.
[00:17:06] Gonna have to be Elf. Elf. Yeah. I love. Buddy. Elf. I don't say like the Nightmare Before Christmas. But like. Nightmare Before Christmas was good. But. I don't think it's a. Like. There's. There's a portion. It's good. A portion that's Halloween. And there's a portion that's Christmas. You know. Yeah. So it's like. It's like a movie that you would watch. Like mostly Halloween. But like. If you're like. You would watch it in like the middle. Between November. If you're really feeling like a movie to watch. Then. Yeah. Yeah. Cause. It was stop motion. That movie was stop motion. That was impressive.
[00:17:36] That was impressive. It was impressive for stop motion. That movie was really nice though. Like you know those ones that look crappy and stuff. Like. Yeah. Oh my god. I know. It's like. That one looks like it's more. And. Like animated than stop motion. Yeah. I want to. Like. Yeah. Cool one. Nightmare Before Christmas was stop motion. But like there's parts where they would take it into the computer. And put stuff in. Yeah. Like for Jack's facial. Like for facial expressions sometimes. Yeah. They would. Sometimes they would even have to like move it. Like to risk. Yeah.
[00:18:06] Even risk it to break it. They would have to switch the heads. I know that would. That would take forever. So yeah. So. Melanie. Do you have a movie that you. A favorite Christmas movie? No. Halloween. Hold up. Ooh. What was she thinking? Um. I mean. Okay. So. There's this Mickey Mouse special that I like. Oh. What was it? Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas. Yeah. I love that. And then there's. I do too. Oh my god. And then there's an animated one that I like where they're on.
[00:18:36] Like. It's so sad because. I could do. I can. What was it? When they were on the ice? Yeah. I'll do it. With Mickey and Daisy. Yeah. With Minnie and Daisy. Oh. I got your gift. And. Like. Oh my god. And then she traded her thing that she loved for him. Him. So basically. Yeah. So basically what was happening is. Mickey was trying to save some money up to. And was working at a place to get. Harmonica case. And so he sold. So he traded his. He sold. He sold.
[00:19:06] A lot of people have seen this. But. He sold his. He traded his harmonica. For the little. Watch for Minnie's. Yeah. No. It was an amulet. That little amulet for Minnie's watch. And Minnie traded her watch to get him the case. So that was. It was sad. Actually. It was sad. But like. It was like. It was like. Wholesome. It was like funny that they both tried to do that for each other. Yeah. It was really nice. It was. It was pretty good. Yeah.
[00:19:35] Did you think of a movie? Okay. Make my wish. Got it. So. Okay. Let's go to music. What? We're doing movies. So. I want to do music now. We can't switch the topic. We already agreed on this. But. How about. Let me think. Like a bit of. Like singing a bit. What about. Oh. We already picked the topic. Yeah. So. What about. We can do that next week. Actually. We already did that last week.
[00:20:04] What about a documentary? Documentaries are like movies. But like. They're based on real stuff. Yeah. They are real things. So like. I haven't watched that many documentaries. But. I know some of them. So. What's a documentary that you watched? Um. A documentary. Yeah. Is like. It just came out yesterday. Um. We had that happy day. Yeah. It was like a documentary. Like it was like a making something. Was it called. Oh. Was it the making of Deadpool and Wolverine? No.
[00:20:33] It was the making of Agatha. So like. Oh. So like on the set. There was like. The costumes were. Really good. If I'm gonna be for real. And then. There was. The design of the road. Yeah. That was. Was phenomenal. Like. It was crazy because they. It was actually like one thing. Yeah. They had to keep walking back and forth. It wasn't like. It wasn't like. Yeah. Like where they had this. Well they did have like a circle coming around. Yeah. And the trials.
[00:21:03] They were like. You had to go back. Okay. I don't know. What do you have? Yeah. So. I would have to say documentary. I haven't watched that many. But. There was one that I watched a little bit of. It was called The Devil's Climb. So. There was this group of guys who were. It was this group of guys who were. Take. In. Some place. With like these big mountains. Like these tall mountains. And they were climbing one of them. And I'm like. How do you guys have the. Like.
[00:21:33] How do you have. The guts to do this. Yeah. There was this mountain that we learned in. Mount Everest. Yeah. Mount Everest. That's the tallest point in the world. If you go all the way up. Like. Up for like a trip. Right. And then. Did they get stuck up there? No. They actually started to lose air. Yeah. Since it's so high up. And then. Because you're so high up. They started to fall down. But then there was only one survivor. So one of them died when they fell down. PG-13.
[00:22:02] Most of them. Most of them. Like. They fell or either lost air. Or they like started bleed. Like bleeding out of their nose. Yeah. Because like they were so high up. PG-13. So your body can't handle it. Okay. So. I know we were talking about movies. But how about. We swap over to shows. Kids friendly. Or at least like PG-13. Yeah. So. Melanie. PG-13 or kid friendly. Is it okay if I talk about murder drones? I love it. Sure.
[00:22:32] Okay. I love murder drones. I love murder drones. But anyway. So. My favorite show is murder drones. Because. You have to get closer to me. I love like the characters in it. And the. The design. Of them. But my favorite. And personally. Is sin. Okay. Like the normal sin. Like the. Where. She was like in the hotel maid. Sin. And. All right. So.
[00:23:02] We got to wrap this up in a little bit. So. Let's go quick. What's your favorite show in your opinion? WandaVision. WandaVision. Yeah. It. I mean. It explained. It explained. After. Endgame. Like the results. After. Endgame. Yeah. So like. It explained. Like the blip. It explained. What happened to this character. Yeah. Yeah. So. It was about this girl. That like. Used all her magic. To take over a town. Oh. To bring back vision. Uh huh. Yeah.
[00:23:32] Okay. So. In my opinion. One of my really favorite shows. Was. Stranger Things. Yeah. Especially. Yeah. I said. It was PG-13. Or. Kid Friendly. So. Especially season four. So. The two episode finale. Is. For piggyback. And then. The one before that. Those episodes. Of Stranger Things. From season four. Were. Really good. The first one. Was like an hour long. And then the last episode. Of that season. Was like two hours. And that was.
[00:24:02] Perfect. The. Season five. I remember. They're filming. Like. They are gonna do it. But it got delayed. They. I. I know why. Because like. Each episode. Is gonna be like. A movie. Long episode. So it's like. Each episode. Is gonna be like. Movie long. Yeah. So. Stranger Things. They said. Season four. Was. Like. Especially the Demi-Gorgon. So. Oh yeah. That thing. With like. The petals on its face. And like. The sharp teeth in the mouth. Now I know what you're talking about.
[00:24:32] So the Demi-Gorgon. From season one. It was more chill. But like. It was still. Like smart. And with its kills. Like it was smart. It wasn't as aggressive. But still was aggressive. It wasn't aggressive. It wasn't aggressive. Until season four. So those were two different Demi-Gorgons. That Vecna created. So. Season one's Demi-Gorgon. Was. More basic. It was kind of chill. But like. Not really aggressive. But still. Still like that. It was stronger. It was smarter. Than season four. Season fours. Was more like.
[00:25:02] It was more. I'm telling anybody. It was more bloodthirsty. It was more. Aggressive. And agile. Like this thing was quick. Yeah. And. It would kill anything in sight. In season one. Vecna was there. When. Like. Bill. Who? Um. Will. Yeah. Will. I thought I just. Well he. Will. He must have known Vecna. When he. Fell. You could actually see. One part. Like you could see a shadow. And we know Vecna has like.
[00:25:32] One normal hand. Then one longer hand. And then one that big hand. Yeah. And then. So we see that. In season one. Just like him. Like have the longer hand. And then it disappears. So I don't think that was a Demogorgon. I think he came after. Will. Yeah. So. Yeah. So. Cause he knew he had a connection. To like. Yeah. The curator. The season four Demogorgon. Was also like. It was. Like all the Demogorgons. Are weak to fire. But. The first Demogorgon.
[00:26:01] They didn't kill with fire. The. The second one. From season four. They killed with a sword. They. Like they weakened it with fire. So they killed the. Those Demi dogs. The demo dogs. With fire. And then. Hopper. Yeah. Hopper. Hopper just. Hopper killed. He like. He like. Cut the arm off. And then he cut the head off. Of the. Seat. Of the Demogorgon. So that ended them. Quick question. Yeah. How do Demogorgons see anybody. When they don't have eyes. Well. The thing. It can. It's like.
[00:26:31] It's more sensitive than. It's like. It's. If the Demogorgon gets hurt. Vecna gets hurt. Oh. So yeah. So. Wait. I mean. So if the. Demogorgon dies. Does that have any victims of that? No. So basically. They did. Basically kill him. But he was still alive. Yeah. He did.
[00:27:01] Like at the end. End of season four. It looked like. We think. They thought he died. But. We seen him on like the ground. And then when they looked back. He's gone. So I think in season five. He's going to be back. Because at the end of the. Last episode. One of the kids growing up said. He's not going to stop until he. Kills everybody. So. I think season five. Is going to be more focusing on. Vecna trying to kill the rest of the kids. And trying to do that. Personally. Me. I would not be in that town. Yeah. Like. I'll be like. Peace out. If I.
[00:27:30] If I seen one thing. Like that. I'll be like. Pack your stuff. We're leaving. Yeah. We're going to California. Remember those bat things? Those bat things were like. They tore. They tore up Billy. Or not Billy. What was his name? Um. I forget what his. Eddie. Eddie. Yeah. They tore him up. But that was sad. But. So. I think we should wrap it up there guys. So. I'm Carter. I'm Anthony. I'm Melanie. And we're signing off today.
[00:28:00] From the V Word podcast. Goodbye guys. Goodbye guys. Bye guys.
